Forgot to put what the course of treatment is going to be in the first post!
The course prescribed currently is radiation for about 6 weeks. The first 3 days and the last 3 days of that I will also receive chemo. This portion is only to shrink the tumor down some, as with its size, they do not want to operate yet due to the possibility of damaging other organs or causing nerve damage. Once the tumor is shrunk down, the surgeon will operate to remove the tumor and perform a bowel resection. After that surgery, once I get all healed, most likely there will be more chemo for 3-4 months to make sure the cancer is all dead.
